Sure. So right now I live in an apartment in Mapo, and before that I lived in a small studio in Sinchon for about three years.
The biggest difference is definitely the space. My old place was basically one room. My bed, my desk and my kitchen were all right there together, so I never really felt like I was off work. My current place has two bedrooms, so I finally have a separate room for working, and that makes a huge difference.
Another thing is the light. The studio faced north, so it was pretty dark, even in the afternoon. Now I get a lot of sun in the living room, and honestly, it puts me in a better mood.
But to be fair, my old place had one big advantage, which was the location. It was a five-minute walk to the subway, and there were cafés and restaurants everywhere. Now it takes me about fifteen minutes to get to the station.
So overall, I'd say I prefer my current home. It's not perfect, but it feels like a real home, not just a place to sleep. I think that matters more to me now than convenience.
